Bluffton 40, Crestview 39
The Lady Pirates eked out a tough win over NWC rival Crestview on Thursday night. With the win Bluffton moves 2-0 in NWC play and the Lady Knights fall to 1-1 in conference play.
Libby Schaadt and Averey Rumer pace the Lady Pirates with 10 points each. While Ashley Eachus (7 points) and Alivia Koenig (6 points) closed the game out by scoring all seven of Bluffton’s fourth quarter points to shut the door on Crestview.
Lexi Gregory led the Lady Knights with a baker’s dozen (13 points), but it wasn’t enough to push her squad over the top in the battle of conference unbeatens. Paige Motycka chipped in 10 points of her own, while Ally McCoy added another eight points in the loss.
With the win Bluffton moves their record to 5-1 (2-0), meanwhile Crestview falls to 2-3 (1-1).
Versailles 58, New Bremen 29
Versailles got some big contributions in Thursday’s lopsided victory over New Bremen. Versailles had four players reach double digits in scoring as Danielle Winner, Caitlyn McEldowney, and Danielle Kuhn all scored eleven points. Lindsie Winner added 10 points to round out the double-digit scorers.
New Bremen struggled keeping up with Versailles from start to finish. Paige Jones did what she could to keep her club in the game as she tossed in nine points to lead New Bremen. Molly Smith added five points to place second in the team’s stat sheet.
Versailles moves their record to 8-0 (2-0) and will face Lima Bath on Saturday, while New Bremen drops to 5-1 (1-1) and will travel to Upper Scioto Valley next Thursday.
