Fort Loramie 48, Versailles 46 OT
In a battle of unbeatens, Fort Loramie snuck out a 48-46 home victory over Versailles.
Evan Berning hit a 3-pointer with seconds left in overtime to tie the score at 46 apiece. Versailles called a timeout after the made basket, but had none left. Dillon Braun then sunk two free throws after the technical foul to give the Redskins the 48-46 win.
Braun led the Redskins with 16 points. Tyler Siegel scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the win.
A.J. Ahrens led Versailles with 21 points, as Fort Loramie held Justin Ahrens to just 12 points.
Minster 80, Coldwater 48
Minster outscored Coldwater 28-8 in the final quarter to cruise to an 80-48 victory.
Isaac Schmiesing scored 34 points, going 8-11 from behind the 3-point line, while grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists.
Alex Lehmkuhl and Mike Ketner joined Schmiesing in double-digits, as each scored 10 points, and Cody Frericks scored 8 points and had 11 rebounds in the win.
Marcus Bruns led Coldwater with 12 points, and Derek Albers scored 6 points and had 8 rebounds in the loss.
Wapak 51, Bluffton 41
Adam Scott’s game-high 17 points led Wapak to a 51-41 win over Bluffton.
Scott was joined in double-digits by Jace Copeland who chipped in 12 points in the win.
A trio of Pirates hit double figures, as Joel Piercefield led the way with 12 points. Kaleb Jefferson and Mason Soper each scored 10 points in the loss.
Botkins 46, Riverside 41
Riverside’s Lane Willoby scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as Botkins beat the Pirates 46-41.
“Tonight‘s game really showed the importance of every possession,” Riverside head coach Seth Bodenmiller said. “In the first half, we gave them too many easy looks on offense. Then in the second half, we had a lot of poorly timed miscues on both ends of the floor. Every time we got their lead down to one, they would score four or six in a row to keep their distance. Now we have three league games over the next 10 days, so we have to get back to work tomorrow and get things going in the right direction.”
