Lincolnview 61, USV 39
Lincolnview (1-1) had little trouble Friday night as they beat Upper Scioto Valley (1-1) 61-39. Chayten Overholt led the way for the Lancers with a game high 25 points. Joining Overholt in double figures for Lincolnview was Caden Ringwald with 11.
Wayne Lowery and Wyatt Daniels led the Rams with nine points a piece in a game that saw the Rams struggled getting anything going offensively.
Kalida 64, Ada 18
Kalida jumped out to an 18-0 lead heading into the second quarter and never looked back as they dominated the Ada Bulldogs Friday night.
Trevor Lambert had a game for the ages as he went a perfect 10-10 from the field and 2-2 from the charity stripe. Lambert finished with 23 points in the game and grabbed seven rebounds. Connor Krouse chipped in 10 and Grant Laudick added nine points in the win.
Ada was led by Zac Swaney with nine points, while Connor Frazier added six of his own. The Bulldogs struggled mightily in the early going and only had four players enter their name in the scoring column.
Bath 60, Bluffton 46
The Bath Wildcats topped the Bluffton 60-46 Friday night. Frey led the Wildcats with 22 points in the contest and he was joined in double digits by Devon Kinyon and Harrison Gough with 13 and 12 points respectively.
The Pirates were led Kaleb Jefferson with 16 points. Luke Denecker added another 11 points to help Jefferson in the losing cause.
St. Henry 43, St Marys 32
St. Henry took advantage to of an early 10-2 lead to grab a low scoring 43-32 win over the St. Marys Roughriders on the road.
Tyler Schlarman and Ryan Luttmer shared the honors of leading the Redskins in scoring 11 points each. But it was the defense that won the day when they stifled their opponent to rather pedestrian 25% from the field.
Wayne Trace 57, Bryan 54
Wayne Trace just squeaked past Bryan Friday night in their 57-54 win. It was long night with plenty of free basketball when Bryan edged Wayne Trace in the JV game.
Nate Gerber led Wayne Trace in scoring with 17 points and was joined by Eli Sinn (11 points), Josiah Linder (12 points), and Jake Kuhn (10 points) to give the team four players in double figures in the winning cause.
Peyton Lamberson scored his game of 22 points for Bryan in the losing effort. John Garza and Zhane Cupp each scored a dozen points to support Lamberson, but they struggled getting help outside of that trio.
Arlington 43, Leipsic 26
Jacob Russell led all scorers with 11 points in the Arlington Red Devils 43-26 win over the Leipsic Vikings. Ryan Metzger chipped in 10 points to give Arlington a pair of scorers in double figures Friday night.
The Vikings connected on only 23% of their field goals and was unable to find anything resembling a rhythm in the 17-point loss. Ty Hegel led Leipsic’s scorers with eight points on 3-10 shooting.
