Wayne Trace 45, Kalida 31
Once again Wayne Trace leaned heavily on their star Ethan Linder as he scored early and often. Linder scored a gem high 21 points as he carries his team on his back in the 14-point win Saturday night over Kalida.
Kalida struggled getting anything going in the contest against Wayne Trace’s suffocating defense. Jacob Klausing and Noah Lambert tied for Kalida’s team lead with nine points. The rest of the team was only able to muster up 13 points collectively of scoring support in loss.
Kenton 75, Upper Scioto Valley 59
Thomas Phillips led the Wildcats with 23 points in Kenton’s win over the Rams Saturday night. Phillips had plenty of help with Jaron Sharp, Hunter Phillips, and Brady Donelly all joining him in double digit scoring with 21, 13, and 10 points respectively. Kenton pushed their record to 10-7 on the season.
Trevor Dotson led all scorers with 25 points for USV in the game. The Rams struggled on defense getting stops as Kenton scored seemingly at will underneath. USV drops 12-6 after the loss.
Antwerp 64, Montpelier 49
Matt Jones led the Archers with 23 points in Saturday’s win over Montpelier. Antwerp outrebounded Montpelier 31-21 and shot 49 percent while holding their opponent to just 37 percent shooting in the win. The Archers nudge closer to .500 with the win at 7-9.
Botkins 54, New Bremen 50
Luke Bergman led Botkins with 20 points in their win over the Cardinals Saturday. Spencer Hueker added 17 points to Bergman’s 20 to top New Bremen in an exciting game.
The Cardinals were led by Nolan Bornhorst with 15 points. Bornhorst was joined by Avery Powers and Tate Myers with 12 and 11 points respectively in the loss,
Fort Loramie 65, Marion Local 49
Fort Loramie rolled on Saturday night in a non-conference tilt at Marion Local. The Redskins caught fire from the perimeter on Saturday night drilling 9 three pointers for the game including 8-9 in the first half from behind the point line. The Redskins blew the game wide open with a 26-7 second quarter. Tyler Siegel led the Redskins with 20 points scoring in the game. Fort Loramie pushed their record to 15-3 with the win.
Nathan Bruns had a solid performance for Marion Local as he led the Flyers and tied for a game high 20 points scoring. With the loss Marion Local now finds themselves with a 10-7 record.
