Ohio State lost a member of its secondary for the second day in a row when cornerback Gareon Conley, a redshirt junior, announced via Instagram that he will pass up his final season of college
eligibility and enter the 2017 NFL Draft.
On Monday Ohio State safety Malik Hooker announced his intention to turn pro, and now Conley has followed.
Conley originally committed to Michigan while in high school before changing his mind and ending up at Ohio State.
Conley was a starter the past two seasons for the Buckeyes, and this season he was named to the second-team All-Big Ten team.
NFLDraftScout.com ranks Conley as the No. 71 draft prospect overall and the No. 9 prospect at his position.
