Marion Local offensive lineman John Dirksen has committed to play at Notre Dame, according to a report from Scout.com.
Dirksen, who is a consensus 4-star rating from most major recruiting services, missed most of the 2016 season after breaking his leg in a loss to Coldwater.
He held offers from schools like Boston College, Iowa State, Michigan State, Kentucky, and Northwestern.
Scout.com ranks the 6’5 275-pound Dirksen as the best offensive guard prospect in Ohio, and the #9 rated guard nationally.
