A pair of Putnam County girls basketball players have announced they’ll be playing Division I college basketball once their high school careers have wrapped up.
Ottawa-Glandorf’s Kadie Hempfling announced Sunday that she had committed to play at Bowling Green.

Hempfling was Co-Player of the Year in the WBL during her junior season, which saw the Lady Titans make it all the way to the State Tournament for the third consecutive season. Hempfling was the sole WBL Player of the Year during her sophomore season in 2015-2016.
On Tuesday, Columbus Grove standout Paige Bellman announced she had committed to play at Detroit Mercy, a member of the Horizon League.
Bellman has been a first-team All-NWC performer each of the past two seasons, and was named NWC Player of the Year as a junior. She was also named PCL Player of the Year in 2017, after averaging 17.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
