Wapak assistant Spencer Wells has been named the new head football coach at Fort Loramie.
After seven years of coaching experience at Celina, Marion Local, Allen East, and Wapak, Well is taking over his first head coaching job,
becoming just the 4th head coach in Fort Loramie history.
Wells succeeds Whit Parks, who resigned in December after compiling a 19-13 record in his three seasons with the Redskins. Parks led Fort Loramie to the postseason in both 2015 and 2017.
Fort Loramie athletic director Damon Smith cited experience as a big factor, saying his “experience at state level programs as a player and a coach are invaluable as he steps into his role as head coach. He understands what it takes to run a championship program. Bringing that culture to Fort Loramie will engage and positively challenge our players as they pursue their goals on and off the field. His commitment to education and his passion for are energizing at a pivotal time in our program’s history.”
Wells is a 2006 Delphos St. John’s graduate, where he played on the 2005 Division VI State Championship team.
