Elida enters the game riding high with an 8-5 overall record, including a 3-1 mark in WBL play. The Bulldogs have been in excellent form, winning seven of their last eight games. Their most recent victory came in a defensive battle against Bryan, where they emerged with a 48-36 triumph. Brody Altenbach led the way with 15 points, while Zori Island and Amari Wash contributed 13 and 10 points, respectively.

The Bulldogs’ offense has been led by Amari Wash, who averages 15.5 points per game while shooting an efficient 48.6% from the field. Island has provided a strong secondary scoring punch, averaging 13.8 points per game, also shooting 48.6%. On the boards, Parker Crim has been a force, pulling down 102 rebounds on the season, 68 of which have come on the offensive glass, giving Elida second-chance opportunities that have fueled their recent success.

On the other side, Bath comes in with a 7-5 overall record, also boasting a 3-1 mark in WBL competition. The Wildcats have won three of their last four games, including a commanding 63-45 victory over St. Marys in their most recent outing. Logan Markley led all scorers with 23 points in that game, while Jaxon Foster added 19 in a stellar all-around team performance.

Markley has been the engine of the Wildcats’ offense this season, leading the team with 18.6 PPG on an impressive 55% shooting. Foster has also been a consistent contributor, averaging 11.9 PPG on 51.8% shooting from the field. Together, they form a dynamic duo that will look to challenge Elida’s defense and keep Bath in the WBL title conversation.

Friday’s matchup features two teams with similar records and aspirations, making this game a critical opportunity for both squads to gain an edge in league play. Elida’s ability to control the glass and capitalize on second-chance points will be key, while Bath will look to its efficient shooting and playmaking to overcome the Bulldogs’ stingy defense.

Tipoff is set for 7:30pm Friday night at Bath High School.
